Some unpleasant relatives

I wonder how some people live with themselves by troubling others. I have seen 'n' number of times how some unhappy individuals (human devils) try to create trouble in an otherwise calm and happy situation. Psychology of such people would be 'I am not happy so how is he or she happy' or  'I am not happy then why should he or she be happy' or 'If I am happy, no one else I know should be happy'. This shows how much demented these people are. They may be believers of Christ but do not actually practice what Jesus Christ said. It is such a shame these people actually preach others but do not care to follow what they preach. I have seen continually how they have betrayed Jesus Christ by troubling others emotionally and also unknowingly are adding sins to their list of bad things. I am no one to judge them, but they must also realise that if they are living in this world, one needs to be answerable to the almighty, are they ready for that? If yes then stop torturing your own relatives, your own blood. If you are happy and a real good person you will always think about spreading the same around you, not bring fights and bitterness between each other.

My bad luck

I have been jinxed with bad luck this month. Being a startup company, my main priority was to get some new projects and also generate a bit of awareness for our brand. For this I have been tapping into Linkedin, Facebook, Forum sites, search engines and friends and their networks. So far I have been running out of luck with not much of a breakthrough. There is 100% effort from my end, but there is very little or zero returns. What could be wrong? I think it's my stars. Not that I am totally into Astrology, but a little hint of suspicion that stars could be playing some role in my failure. I have never countered so much of resistance to any effort I had made in the past and hence the more I am inclined to believe that something Astro is working or not working for me.

But nevertheless I am not going to just sit but I am going try again and again until I get some results. I am doing my best and I am sure hardwork will pay off. Faith in myself and a little (or can I say all of it) from Almighty, I hope to go beyond the hurdles.

Please wish me luck !!!! I meant Good Luck!!!!

Old friends but different people

The other day I reconnected with my school friends, who I saw after some 10 years. We all were delighted and promised to meet each other whenever we can. There were few in the group who I could connect with and we hitted off immediately. Whereas a few seemed pretty distant and not willing to talk much about their present lives. Either the bond we had as kids didn't exist anymore or may be they thought they do not have place for old friends in their existing lives just because our thoughts do not seem to be the same.

I think when you look at this in a philosophical aspect, you can see that the other  who could connect with me are different people altogether now or may be they were plain jealous of what I have achieved so far. But I do not have hard feelings for them. I think we must be still in touch since you never know, they may make a big difference in my life in the future, God has got us all together for a reason, so we must not throw all of that away by bringing our egos inbetween. So please go ahead and patch with everyone you once has disagreed with or did not like. Happy Friendship reunion.

Why should everyone be educated?

A broken heart, tears rolling down and no one to talk to, this is still the situation of women in urban India, who are not well educated. One day the maid who works in my home, had severe bruises all over her body. I wondered how she could have even come to work in such a state. When I enquired about them, she broke down in tears and told me about how her husband and mother-in-law beat her in the night because she put less salt in the food. Then it dawned on me how education is so vital in our being? how important education is for everyone? Education tames one to act in a moral way, to overlook petty mistakes, to protect the weak and most of all to also educate others the basics of a good human relationship with everyone.

If my maid was educated she would not have stayed any longer with the man who beat her up. If my maid's mother-in-law was educated she would not have instigated her son to beat his wife and if the mother would have educated his son, then he would have never raised his hand on his wife. I then asked my maid to enroll herself into an adult education programme, which she did but later failed to follow it through.  She did not go to the police to complain about her husband and mother-in-law just because she will have no where else to go other than to her village where there is immense poverty and drunkard father. So unless there is a will to empower oneself with education no one in this world can force education on you.

So you see education is such a vital part of our lives, which we take for granted, especially when we were kids. I would want every parent to educate their children about the importance of a good education, and I would do the same with my children. Apt to this is a saying by an anonymous author: "When asked how much educated men were superior to those uneducated, Aristotle answered, 'As much as the living are to the dead.'"

Cuddling extremely important

I know, to most of us, this topic may seem unimportant, but being a mother of a 23 month old, hearing her screams with ongoing tantrums, cuddling comes very handy. Cuddling and talking to your child, puts their anger and anxiety away. Imagine youself in your kids place,  she needs cuddling too from time to time, your busy with work and she is being neglected, that is when she does a series of naughty stuff to gain your attention, that is when a cuddle can be miraculous to let your child know she is safe.

After a cuddle, see how your child changes her mood, she is happy, what more do you want? So the key to have a happy child is to cuddle every chance you get. Happy Cuddling :)

Crazy Childhood

Ohhh I do not remember me being so naughty like my daughter when I myself was a kid. But my mom keeps saying all the naughty things I used to do. Still I feel my daughter is ten times naughtier and smarter.

She is a quick learner too, is 2 months less in turning the terrible 2 , but still has her own toy camera, which she pretends to be clicking pictures with saying 'cheese' in a very cute way. She doesn't get bored watching the same video songs on Youtube the whole day, unlike me.

Hates to see me sit with my laptop doing work, she wants me to play with her 24x7 or will want to sit with my laptop plucking out the keys (which takes me ages to fix).

My sweet angel is my gym instructor who keeps me on my toes and helps me manage my weight. All my pre-pregnancy clothes still fit me is a relief. What a beautiful childhood of her keeps me a child in me alive .

Alternatives we get used to

Sitting with a thriller book in my bed after supper is so much missed these days. Life has changed drastically with a kid around. Now you will find me with a book in my bed but with my daughter's picture book. But yes when she is asleep I do grab time to go through a novel or catch up with friends on facebook or orkut.

But motherhood has brought lot of responsibilities like taking care of my daughter and managing home. Things I used to take for granted like spending time with my hubby has now become a valuable time I take out from my 'me' time. Time is so important now, that wasting it on unneccessary gossips with friends seems abnormal. Playing with my daughter is such a delight, she immitates tiny little habits of ours, and keeps us entertained almost all the time.

I wish that every single one of us get to experience all this and enjoy the alternatives we get used to.

Looking for a baby sitter

I have been quite nervous about finding a good baby sitter. Here in India it is very difficult to get a properly trained nanny. You end up with girls from agencies who do not know an A of baby sitting. I will be going back to my home along with my little one soon and I am yet to find a good nanny for her. Since I work from home it is easier to manage the baby sitter too. But still finding the right person will make my work that much lesser.

A good friend of mine promised to find me a good nanny but I will have to ultimately judge if she will be able to take care well. A nany must be vigilent, have peace of mind, alert and ability to teach the baby new things and play with her. That is what I will be scrutinising during her stay at my place. Lets hope things go well.

Old stooges want to stay put

Have you ever wondered about the unemployment problem worldwide? If not you can consider it now. I have walked into so many government offices, state and central and find it is crowded with old people at the desks. Since government jobs are safe and lucrative many oldies want to stick to them till they practically die of old age. Look at our politicians half of them can't walk properly, half of them are suffering with heart ailments or other health problems and all of them simply can't or don't want to work for the people but themselves. If this is what India's future is then God help us.

I say reduce the retirment age for everyone even politicians to 50, why should not there be a maximum age in politics? This will give chance to young, dynamic and educated lot. May be coming up with an oldies forum where they can still be active in guiding the younger generation on politics, be guest lecturers at colleges and simply help new politicians to campaign will keep them busy. It is sad to see many politicians are in this field to just earn money and stay put, don't allow anybody else to come and are responsible for corruption and beauracracy.

But change is happening but on a very slow pace. We now see young politicians who seem to be determined to work for the people (like our constitution says) and think the modern way. This has encouraged and will encourage more youth to come forward and do some quality work without bothering about making money for themselves. I just hope the election results all over the country would see some new and young faces especially for the PM's post.

Recession at home...

Recession is a word which is now more widely used by businessmen as well as by homemakers. I use it almost for everything now. Our house helpers who asked for a raise were told that due to recession we cannot give them a raise. My employees at work were told the same to which they gave me a very dirty look. With me becoming busy with the baby, my better half says that due to recession of time I do not give him mch attention.

Well I think being a new mom takes time to adjust to the new life. Babies want attention, if they do not get enough of it they get disoriented and their mental growth kind of gets stagnant. Give as much time as yu can, play with them and that is what keeps them active physically and mentally. Do not let recession come inbetween u and your family. They need you all the time so enjoy urself with them.

Moms need to read this

Ever since I have become a full-time mom all I can think of is my baby, btw she turned 5 months old on 27th April. Everyday just flies away with an eye blink. That is when I decided I must put aside sometime of my own where I can express myself. Advice for all moms or moms to be:

- Do not get carried away with just taking care of your baby, you had a life of your own before the baby so try and squeeze some time for yourself after the baby too.
- Expressing oneself is important to stay sane after a day long baby crying and whining.
- Try and get away in the open too once a day, for a walk or just to pick up some groceries, take your baby along in a pram if you don't have a caregiver.
- Have a hearty meal too, u need it the most cause ur super busy taking care of your little devil.
- Try to also have a good talk with ur husband on how he could help you around the house.
- Try also to have a cozy time with ur hubby whenever you can, how can u forget ur first baby!!!!!!
- At the end of the day have ur hubby prepare you a mug of hot chocolate so that you can relax and have a good night sleep.

I think I may just doze off this chair any moment so I will take leave. Will write more tomorrow, till then good night everybody......
